A Slow Restart and Update

On June 16th, I had knee replacement surgery. It has gone well with less pain than I had anticipated. The PT is hard but it will make a difference in my recovery. The pain meds left me a little foggy and my aging brain is just starting to clear up. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and a supportive family. I do continue to ask for your prayers during the next few weeks of PT.

Our prayers are with all of the families who have been so tragically impacted by the extreme flooding in Texas. Many people we know have connections with the area and some of the victims. Pray that God will continue to sustain families, first responders, and to provide answers for those that are still missing.

Right now my plan is to resume my regular writing next week. However, I have discovered that healing and recovery is slower with each additional year of life.

May the Lord bless you and yours during this unsettling days within our nation, our world, and for those so impacted by tragedies.
